ALUMINIUM AS RAW MATERIAL
Aluminium is a natural element that weighs only one
third of the weight of steel. Using aluminium as raw material saves
energy because the melting point of aluminium is 650 degrees Celsius.
Also, aluminium does not let harmful gases into the air while melting.
Although aluminium at present does not decompose into the nature it
is a fully recyclable material. The quality of aluminium endures even
re-using the material, recycling in the long run is profitable because
the deficit even in re-use is very small, only three percent.
Because of its durability, aluminium is also environment friendly.
Aluminium is not corroded, does not absorb water nor break or split
when temperatures varying. Aluminium does not corrode in water or air
but forms a natural oxide protection on the surface.
The greatest advantage of aluminium is its easy care. Aluminium product
only needs cleaning.
End product energy consumption is reduced
When the weight of the vehicle is reduced, consumption of fuel drops
and energy efficiency grows. This ensures the reduction also in exhaust
fumes thus reducing the pressure on the environment. When the weight
of the vehicle reduces by 100 kg, consumption of fuel drops circa
0,6 l/100 km. If the car mileage reaches 100.000 km per year, fuel
saving
is 600 litres. Reduction in fossil fuels also saves the environment.
